We suggest painting your piece black first. It really doesn’t matter which paint you use, spray or craft paints. You seem to get a better look when items are painted black.
Use a foam roller or foam brush to brush on the liquid adhesive. Do one straight stroke across your piece in the end to make sure you have nice full coverage coat on your piece. Wait no less than 20 min for it to tack up.
Cut your foil to the size you need. Pretty side up, lay it on your piece over the adhesive. Use a small brush, Like a cleaning brush with plastic bristles. (one you use for cleaning dishes is perfect)
Brush in one direction, making sure you cover it all. Lift up your foil and spot check to make sure you got full release, if not lay it back down and scrub some more again in the same direction.
Be sure to seal your project with a top spray or use epoxy over it to cover and protect the finish. No need to spray seal before using epoxy.
